Hello Hello! I feel like the last couple of weeks have just flown by for me and my family- I’ve shot a wedding a weekend, and just got back from a long weekend at the beach in Chincoteauge VA. I just love it there! Summer is flying by, and I’m waiting to the last possible moment to say goodbye to her- And while summer has has it’s ups and downs this year, she has not dissappointed with some truly magnificent mornings, afternoons, and perfect sunset evenings.
Tonight on the blog is Abi and Mark’s beyond beautiful wedding on August the second. It was just a few short weeks ago I blogged their engagement session! Their wedding was held at the Historic Waynesborough , a gorgeous and unique venue that’s perfect for a summer wedding. The day started a bit cloudy and rainy, but it sure turned in to a lovely summer day. I was helped to shoot this wedding by my darling friend Ralph- Thank you dear! To Abi and Mark- I’m so happy to have met you both, and have a share in your day. Enjoy your big preview!
I started the day with Abi and her bridesmaids and family as she got ready for her wedding at her parents home . I always enjoy shooting at the bride’s childhood home- It’s filled with warm beautiful memories. Abi and her girls had lots of fun as she got ready. There were lots of laughs and tears of joy.
I love the moment when Dad sees his darling girl on her wedding day.
And I love when the bride reads a note from her soon to be husband.
There were a few more special moments before Abi headed out the door to the church.
I adore these shots of the guys getting ready!
The gorgeous details!
Time to party!
I love a sparkler send off, this one was probably the best I’ve ever seen. A tip for brides who want to do this : look for the long sparklers! They burn for over a minute, giving plenty of time for guests to get in to position and cheer, which lends to awesome pictures!
